The OEM clutch covers are magnesium to save weight and a prone to getting scratched to hell by boots and are susceptible to breaking when the bike is dropped from either the gear shift or rear brake, it is a wise person that adds a little more protection. 

The Acerbis X-Power crankcase and ignition/clutch covers help to protect your engine and are a must-have.
